It got its name from Fort Benton, Wyoming, which has the largest source of clay. Yet, this clay can now be found all over the world. Our Bentonite Clay is mined in Wyoming and Montana. Mining practices are designed to keep out impurities. The clay is kiln-dried, milled, and screened to size.
